The highlight of every single wedding and elopement I capture is always getting to know my couples. Corinna and Dickson let me into their story, and getting to know them on an intimate level was an honor in itself! They represent so much joy within how they love one another, and they long to live in the present with hearts full of gratitude. I couldn’t help but to swoon over them the entire time I was photographing their destination elopement in Greece!

One of the things we have in common is our love and passion for travel. That’s the main reason I became a destination wedding photographer – the places my couples take me to inspire me beyond belief and fuel my creativity to the brim! These two are actually originally from Vienna, Austria, but came to Oia, Santorini to celebrate their love together. We bonded over the fact that they’re fluent in German because most of my family is German and speaks the language as well (don’t ask me to recite any words, though lol!) and it was so much fun to be able to connect on that level. It’s always the best when I can relate to my couples on a personal level and feel like we could be friends even after I’m finished photographing their best day ever!

When I tell you that I felt my soul come alive when taking these photos, I mean it. Santorini is such a stunning destination elopement location if you’re looking for beautiful scenery and the most epic sunsets you can imagine! The hues of oranges, teals, and purples had no trouble showing off for us during golden hour in Oia, creating such a romantic and awe-inspiring ambiance. It’s like we were frozen in time, living a real-life fairytale on a magical island in Greece!

Corinna and Dickson fully trusted me to guide them into certain poses that complimented the locations we were shooting at, which means the absolute world to me. That’s truly the key to getting the best wedding images possible – trusting your photographer’s creativity and artistic eye to see things that you (as the couple) don’t. I couldn’t wait to get these images into the world for couples like you to get inspired by!
