The Backstory: From Chicago to Boise
So, get this: I first worked with Chiara and Matt during their engagement session in Chicago. They were so vibey and trusting that when they moved to Boise, they knew they had to have me fly out for some artistic magic in their new home state. I mean, who am I to say no to an adventure like that? This session was absolutely, positively, one for the memoirs. I can’t wait to capture their wedding in fall 2023!

Picture this: a 2-hour road trip into the remote Idaho mountains with the perfect fall and winter playlist in the background. We were sharing stories, laughing, and genuinely having the time of our lives. And here’s where it gets even wilder: we literally went through all four seasons during our drive! Sunny skies turned to autumnal hues, which transformed into a winter wonderland, and yes, we even hit a crazy snowstorm. Talk about an epic buildup to an unforgettable shoot!
Once we got to our destination, Chiara and Matt were absolutely in their element. They were unapologetically themselves, which, if you ask me, makes for the most authentic photos. This session was particularly special because we included a film add-on. I was ecstatic to incorporate some film shots that brought an added layer of dreaminess. Spoiler alert: you’ll be seeing more film options in my packages soon, because, oh my gosh, the results were stunning!
And as if the day couldn’t get any better, we capped off our session in the most perfect way imaginable: with warm food and red wine in a cozy log cabin restaurant. It was the ideal ending to an adventure session that felt like a scene straight out of a movie.
